Speak To An Expert

Our Client - Active Ability

Active Ability is a specialist mobile allied health provider supporting NDIS participants across Sydney, the Central Coast, Wollongong and Canberra.

Their multidisciplinary team delivers Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Dietetics, helping participants improve independence, mobility, health and quality of life. By providing support in homes and community settings, Active Ability makes allied health services more accessible while working closely with participants, families, support coordinators and other referral partners.

As a growing provider operating in a highly competitive NDIS market, Active Ability needed more than a general digital marketing strategy. They needed a team that understood the NDIS landscape, how participants and referral partners search for services, how to build visibility across organic and paid channels and how to turn that visibility into genuine enquiries and referrals.

The Challenge

Active Ability operates in a complex NDIS market where the path to choosing an allied health provider is rarely straightforward. The person searching may be a participant, a parent, a support coordinator, a case manager or another healthcare professional, and each comes with different priorities, levels of NDIS knowledge and urgency.

Some are searching by therapy type. Others are looking for a provider in a specific location, trying to understand whether a service is suitable for a particular support need, comparing availability, or looking for a trusted provider they can confidently refer to. The decision can also be influenced by funding, service coverage, clinician availability, travel arrangements and the quality of communication and reporting.

That makes the marketing challenge more complex than simply promoting allied health services. The strategy needs to speak to multiple audiences and search intents, make complex service information easier to navigate and build trust quickly, without reducing the message to generic NDIS marketing.

For Active Ability, the challenge was to strengthen visibility across SEO, GEO, Google Ads and Meta, reach the right participants and referral partners at the right point in their decision-making journey, and turn that visibility into genuine enquiries and referrals.

Our Strategic Approach

For Active Ability, the strategy needed to do more than increase traffic. It needed to reach participants, families and referral partners across different stages of their search, make the right services easier to find and generate genuine enquiries in the locations Active Ability operates.

We focused on three core areas:

Strengthening Search Engine & AI Platform Visibility

We built the SEO and GEO strategy around the way people actually search for NDIS allied health services, from broad service searches through to specific therapies, locations and support needs.

The goal was to increase Active Ability’s visibility across traditional search and emerging AI search platforms, particularly for searches with strong referral or enquiry intent.

Key focus areas included:

  • NDIS allied health searches
  • Service-specific searches across OT, physiotherapy, exercise physiology and dietetics
  • Location-based search visibility
  • Participant and referral-focused search intent
  • Content designed to answer common service and support questions
  • Improving visibility within AI-generated search results
  • Content optimisation based on results

Capturing High-Intent Demand Through Google Ads

Google Ads played an important role in reaching people already actively searching for NDIS allied health support.

We continuously refined campaigns around service type, location and search intent, directing users towards the most relevant service and enquiry pathways rather than treating every search the same.

This included:

  • Refining keyword and geographic targeting
  • Separating campaigns around different services and search intent
  • Improving ad relevance
  • Aligning landing pages with the search that brought users there
  • Reducing spend on low-value or irrelevant searches
  • Improving the pathway from search to enquiry and/or referral
  • Ongoing optimisation, performed at minimum weekly intervals

Building Awareness & Demand Through Paid Meta Advertising

Not every participant, family member or referral partner begins their journey with a Google search. Meta allowed Active Ability to reach relevant audiences beyond immediate search demand.

Our campaigns focused on communicating Active Ability’s services clearly, building familiarity with the brand and giving potential participants and referrers another pathway into the business.

This included:

  • Audience targeting across key service areas
  • Service and location-specific campaigns
  • Creative and messaging tailored to NDIS audiences
  • Campaign testing and ongoing optimisation
  • Retargeting engaged users
  • Supporting both direct enquiries and broader brand awareness
